Many Enterprises, irrespective of their size, are still resort to decision making using excel, at best, or gut feeling, at worst. Such decision making process not only takes long time to plan, but it also results in sub-optimal resource utilization, leading to higher expenses and capital requirement.
Decisions - such as "where to put the new plant?", "How much should be the capacity of different plants?", "What should be the production schedule?", "How much inventory should be held and where?", "How the orders can be delivered cost-effectively?" - can be made using scientifically proven models. Resorting to such decision making helps companies to reduce operational expenses and capital requirement.
Decision systems using such mathematical models help companies to plan and replan in minutes. Such agility helps companies to cope with, and profit from, dynamic business environment.
